Baracay

For the last part of the trip Robert and Duncan traveled by themselves.  First of all, they traveled to Mindanao to visit the Enchanted River.
They also visited Tinuy-an Falls.  Swimming in the falls was fun.
While island hopping, Duncan collected some beautiful shells.  Unfortunately, it's illegal to take certain shells off the beaches so they were all confiscated at the airport.
Before heading back to Butuan and the airport, Duncan and Robert stopped at Alameda Farm, hoping to do the bicycle zipline.  It was closed though so they just got to appreciate the scenery.
From Butuan, they flew to Boracay for 3 days. When they arrived they just stayed in the hotel and went swimming.
The second day they went to the beach and did some helmet diving.
Afterwards they did another island hopping tour and Duncan cliff dived from 30 meters 3 times!
The next day they went to the hotel's private beach and it wasn't that nice.  The water was cold and the sand rocky so they went to the pool.
After they did some swimming,  they went downtown to walk around at the beach and check out the famous Boracay sunset.  They went for dinner before heading back.
The next day they pretty much just flew back to the Manila area.

The final days with the family were the reunion. The kids swam for the most part. After dinner we did introductions which Duncan and some others did not like. Then Manilyne and some of the cousins did a dance. Finally they went to bed for the night.
The next day Manilyne went off to Tagaytay with some friends and everyone else went home.  The day she went to Tagaytay is the day the volcano erupted. Manilyne hasn't yet returned but is safe.
This is one of her pictures when the Taal Volcano alert moved to a Level 2.
The airport is closed today because of the ash fall.  Hopefully it will be open for our flights home!
